misting up
« on: 21 December 2009, 13:34:19 »

odd problem here, AC has been recharged recenty as thought it may be losing effectiveness but no. Car will mist upand take ages to clear even with climate control on auto, whether on normal or recirc. Can happen when driving along too, it almost as if the drains on the AC or heater are blocked and it is blasting up moist water into the car. Anyone come across this. How do you check the drains are not blocked, anything else anyone can think of. Oh yes, changed the pollen filter as a precation, no difference.

Check the two vents in the boot (drivers side behind the first aid kit cover) arent covered up. Also, when the screen is misting, close the front vents to direct a stronger airflow to it. HTH :y

cheers. Pollen filter was replaced but will check the drain when I get home later. Used the bike as usual today, wish I'd used the car though.

I'd plump for the mighty stupid after riding over a mile and a half of black iced road with frozen carbs too, plus the waterproofs leaked in the worst of all places so balls were not big at all by the time I got to work.  ;D
