3.0 v6 (2000) belt change

can anyone help me ?
on my service book it says a belt was changed at
55000 - can anyone tell me which belt this is and
does the 3.0 v6 have a cam belt - and when does
it need changing next?

 Yes!!!! And if any doubt and for peace of mind you should have yours changed.
40000 mls is the recomended interval.So budget water pump the cam/belt kit.
A few members do a fitting service so look around the posts.HTH

Hi Ken

The Timing belt kit (note, kit - belt, idlers, and tensioner) need changing every 40,000 miles, or every 4 years, whichever comes first.

As others said, yes it has a cambelt, which MUST (no matter what anyone else says) be done at 40k/4yrs.

There is a lot of myths about 80k/8yrs - due to Vauxhall stating that, but reverting to 40k/4yrs after a high failure rate
