hi auto box goes into safe mod stop turn engine off restart no probs at times will go into safe mod when engine not running any ideas ty

would check the wiring from auto box to its ecu, if ok would put it on a tec2 to get the fault codes.

might suspect selecter switch, remove clean inspect for ware and set up correctly on refitting. When was atf last changed? But as rusty says may well need tech2 to diagnose, see The Boys teach2 site at the bottom of any of his posts for details.
