The GM Red anti-freeze is €8 a litre here at Irish dealers.  Like everything else, it's a rip off compared to the UK.

I had to get towed back as the engine just died on me while going up a hill,so next day i had a closer look ,all that was happening was when i turnned the key the throttle housing was just clicking, sounded like it could not find its position.
So i called out a chap with his magic box, only to find that it would not read or even talk to the ECU.
He suggested that the throttle housing maybe faulty, so i managed to get another one and fitted it, same thing happened, just clicking.
Car will only start with the throttle disconnected.
Any ideas?

doubt thats an ecu fault.  needs to go on a code reader, and have an operator who knows what he is doing

The tech guy is an ex Vauxhall auto technician, his diagnostic gear would not look at my ecu.So while he was here he fitted a new one just to test the car(coils etc were fine befor we switched on).Car fired up first click, with a workin throttle .So its lookin like i just was a little un lucky then.
I did check with him to see what had caused the fault, but he could only give me ,it was bad luck, they do go once in a while !!!!(vauxhall trainned maybe?)

Hi,
I think you need to start a new thread here, more aligned to ECU problem than which anti freeze.

If it is so sure it's an ECU problem, then I would be contacting someone like BB Reman for a repair quote before I paid out over £1000 for new ECU.
