starting help

i have got a r reg omega that will not start, but if i jump it it starts, i have changed the battery, starting motor, alternater and its still happened and now im stuck at a dead end please help

If you post your location, another local member might be able to help you. Otherwise if you have any roadside assistance they might be able to diagnose the problem.

When you say it wont start what is happening? I.e just clicking, Nothing, Turning over???

Not enough power in your battery to throw starter solenoid over?  Is battery fully charged or even big enough?

Which engine and what size (amps) battery?

When you say "clicking" I assume motor doesn't turn over.  Confirm

2.5 r reg, yeah will not turn over unless u have jump leads on it and the garage have said they cant find the promlem

Sounds like you got a dodgy earth connection somewhere mate.  Check earths on battery and from engine block clean and tight.

Could try starting using jump lead attached to earth terminal on your battery and clipped onto metal part of engine as a test.

i will try it mate as we have tryed  alot and we are hitting a brick wall with it, so i will give that a go cheers

Try putting a jump lead from the earth on the battery to the engine, see if that helps.
