gear lever surround lights

All the lights on the gear lever surround are lighting up all at once,and sometimes alternate between random lights,does anyone have any idea,possibly damp or dirty connections somewhere. :-/

Selector switch needs cleaning, get to Maplins and get some proper switch cleaner, then free up a Saturday to pop over :y

I have got some switch cleaner lee,and how do i change it,is it just unplug and plug back in,or am i dreaming. :D :y

Quite awkward to get at one of the bolts but straightforward enough if you've done it before :y
