I likely need to change the rear shocks on my old Elite to get it through the MOT.  This car is just used as my mrs' runaround so we really have no need for self levelling.

If I install regular shocks (I'm looking at the Bilstein ones), I assume I need to disable the SL pump.  Is there a convenient fuse to pull or connector to undo?

I think it`s fuse #27. The connector will be under offside wing where the S/L pump is

No, the compressor is all it feeds.

...also runs the rear 12v socket, on my 52 plate saloon at least, will ians preface lift be differant? just out of interest...?

One of the 2 smaller relays by the cabin fuse box runs the compressor IIRC. Can always just pull that?

I will have another look at my preface lift, but I'm sure the fuse just does the compressor.

All well and good here Kevin - apart from another dose of snow overnight, getting fed up with it.  

I will have a fiddle later on when I brave the elements.
Going to have to tackle the powersounder on the 3.2 as well soon.
