« on: 19 January 2010, 08:18:07 »

Morning all.
Can anyone please tell me if I need to un bolt anything or undo anything to put a new aux belt on a 3.0 v6 elite. Maybe there is a certain way to do it... i'm starting to get grumpy with this one now...  >:(

I've got the old belt off (what was left of it), but i'm having a hell of a job getting the new one on. Just wondered if there was a simple technique to it and if there is anything I need to undo/take off to get it on?

If you follow the alloy aircon pipe down the front of the engine there's a small bracket you will have to undo :y

Yes there is - on V6 you need to undo small bracket on aircon pipe on your right facing car - small torx socket.  Belt then can be fitted by 15mm socket and bar on tensioner nut and pull pully to right.
