im at dartford near the bridge. the only bit im confussed at is the tc and removing it with gear box,,, how do i get to it if it in the box and need it undone before removing !!!!

not sure what oil i brought from halfords the other day but was in big red plastic bottle    says ok for all makes and models  this it what i got and just looked on web site and it says

The TC bolts to the driveplate and there is an opening in the housing that gives you access to remove these bolts from the front of the driveplate.

You need to remove each bolt in turn, turning the engine over to access the next bolt each time.

Don't just pull the gearbox off with the TC still bolted to the driveplate as it will damage the bushing and/or seal that holds the TC nose in the gearbox.

.. and remove the spark plugs unless you fancy a workout.

ok and i can do this by screwdriver on the fly wheel yes?  how many bolts ? size ? ratchet spanner ? sorry just wanna be prepaired

dont know any there but there is a auto's repaire there saw advert in paper there last year in the local paper

Serek on this forum has an AR35 autobox for sale cheap, don't know whether it is compatible. I have an AR25 in my 2.5td and will be changing shortly to an AR35. I am told you just require the bell housing and TC from the 25 to fit the 35.

ok well i had a good day i today but i had to stop after i got to the part i was not looking forward to   t converter !! i could not find any possible way of getting it undone at all, i called a breakers up and they said do it through hole where starter motor goes !!!! no chance at all i think my self as you cant get a socket on the bolts or spanner as you can only see half the bolt!!!!! so i had no choice but to but haynes manual grrrrrrr   on there it says take gromit of but mine was missing so i could see tc already and looked very rusty from what i can see but it says take another gromit of just past gearbox and do it with socket but i aint got a entrance as you can see in pics i took, so now im bit f*cked as not sure wat else to do !!!!! any one got a clue id be very happy     heard you can take it of with out undoing tc //////////// is this true and will it slide of nice as if i did undo tc   thanks guys   steve
