Facelift MV6 suspension
« on: 28 January 2010, 23:16:37 »

Hello, cant find the answer by searching so question is what are  the suspension  differences on a 2.6 MV6 compared to a 2.6 cdx ,is it springs and shocks on the facelift or just  lowered springs. if the shocks for MV6 models are totally different are they much more money to buy from VX and are there any recommended alternatives?,regards.

CDX vs MV6, on facelifts. Its shocks and springs which are stiffer, not expensive like self leveling.

Around £70 for a pair of shocks on Vx trade.

Some people use blisterin shocks, makes it much better in the corners, but at the price of comfort.

I have blisterin bilstein shocks on my Elite and find that the ride is a little harsher but absolutely nothing that I couldn't live with....

lowered sports chassis on the face lift mv6 means lower firmer shocks and springs. pre fl mv6 are are just firmer shocks with stock springs afaik???

stock suspension on the cdx and all other models except elite wich has self levelling rear. However there are differant part numbers ranging through from 2.0 ltr to 2.5TD. From looking at the trade club web site they may well need your chassis number when ordering.

Sugest vx shocks on trade club and kyb springs...

I have the same on my Elite estate, I've got used to it now but much harsher than the Elite saloon it replaced.
