EML code 16
« on: 01 February 2010, 15:55:19 »

Stopped at school, picked up little one, started car and got the EML light on.

Have done the paper clip jobbie and it gives me code '16'. Knock sensor signal circuit 1.

The car is running fine with plenty of power (quite normal).
No work has been done on the car recently.
I have read this http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1157560905 (thanks Mark)

Any ideas guys and gals  :y :y

Its a small coax, comes from behind alternator, plugs into cable tray.

Found it. It passes over the top of ther cable tray and is not damaged. But was resting on the metal coolant pipe  :-?

The one on the other side which plugs into the tray above the spark plugs is undamaged also  :-?

Refering back to Marks handy post.

Could this be caused by Tesco value range fuel?

Just filled up with Shell V power and the light has gone off after a five mile run. Been running on Tesco value for six months................

Any thoughts on this ?
