There are a few folks on here that would do the job for you and at a fairer rate than the VX garage.  Look for Elite Pete, Darth Loo-Knee and James V6CDX amongst others.  Their rates are in their signatures...  ;)

And if you edit your profile to give a location, it may be easier for them to work out travel costs etc....   :y

Try these - Contitech kits (OEM supplier) http://www.buypartsby.co.uk/timing-belts-and-kits-final.php?year=1998&Submit=Next&make=Vauxhall&model=Omega&sub=&eng=3.0000 - you want the kit about £60 - had two of these for both motors - good quality and fast delivery.  Vx water pump on TC now nearly £70 - think you can get one from same people for £25 http://www.buypartsby.co.uk/water-pump-final.php?year=1998&Submit=Next&make=Vauxhall&model=Omega&sub=&eng=3.0000 - HTH

I have all my appeal paperwork through and hell of alot of good info. If you ever need any help in the future with the DLA let me know as i have some good paperwork that hopefully will really help me. As for the car, the kit is 70 quid plus VAT pump so i will get one soon and try it after i have watched the dvd. After that i will use the run to as its good run to help you if you like.

And as for the 3 days under car and nd 2 weeks laid up. Well at least someone else understands that bit. most only see the 3 days (actually more like 1 day) under the car and think there is nothing wrong.

Nobody seems to want to give you a price I was quoted £275.00 at a main dealer that was without the water pump so I should say about £ 325.00 Frightening if you cant do it yourself
