If its the Cylinder 4 injector, check its wiring.  It feeds back to ECU actual injection start/timings.

its the only injector with a wire on (no 4 - 4th one back)

It won't break down, but may pop into limp (reduced power)

I tried starting mine with the wire unpluged to see what happend when i cleaned the injectors. it fires up but dies as soon as you lift your foot off the gas it runs very rough and doesn't like it at all.
as TB says injector 4 the fourth one back from the rad..
look between the manifold you will see a plug with a black wire that goes to num 4 also gently check the injector itself the wire going into the injector can be brittle.
you will need a torch.

So its the wire that would need changing is this going to be a big job to find the other end or is it a straight forward change.
Can i safly assume that failing falt with the wire itself I will have to change the ijector as well/insted?

you need to change the whole injector and there not cheap.
have you tried diesel magic in a new filter.
or if you feel confident remove the injector and strip it and clean it. it might be dirty

Oww not what i wanted to read but if thats so then Im just going to have to hope that some inject-magic(or whatever they sell) fixes the problem. Then filing that Im going to try folowing the cleaning guide.

My fingers legs knees arms and kids are crossed that it wourks out to be the cheeper of the fixes.

Been there, done that too .......
It's the 'start of injection' sensor within, and it's not user-serviceable. A new one will set you back around 250 quid. You may have to remove the inlet manifold to access it's wiring connector too.
Symptoms of the sensor failing will be the EML constantly on, (plus the code), and the car will feel as if it's permanently towing another.

The light only flashes usualy when coming out of the turbo assuming it comes in at 2k ish. To me she dont fell like its towing or not running in limp mode like a lorry dose when out of addblue. With this said its had the fault from wher it was bought by me, so unles dramatical I am no wiser on performance, it still puts your head back if you drive it hard.
