Dashboard Bulbs.
« on: 09 February 2010, 14:57:54 »

Some (Most) of the bulbs in my Omega have gone.
Some are behind the heater dials, some behind the speedo dials and some down under the gear selector letters and numbers.
Does anyone know what bulbs I need or know how to fix them ?
Is the dashboard easy to move ?
Is there any way I can change all the bulbs for different coloured ones ?
Thanks,
Kris.

Unfortunately the page said it didn't accept that number.
Thanks for trying though.

Hi Kris,
It really is a straightforward job once you start. As regards changing to different colour bulbs, 'Google crazyleds and you will see all sorts of options. Email Michael the owner if you don't see what you want. Beware fitting cheap LED's (light emitting diodes) though as you may be going back in to change them in short order if they blow. I did my wife's vectra last year into all green, and have a set for my Omega ready to go in red. Once i've done the cam sensor which arrived today that is.

This might sound a bit mad... but I can't seem to adjust the height of the steering wheel.
Mines a 98', is it too old for the height adjustment ?

If you`ve got a lever on L/H side of cowling it`s adjustable, if not, it ain`t ;)

Remove the top cowling off the steering wheel, held on by a screw either side of the wheel IIRC, screwed on from underneath.

Remove upper steering column cowling, about midway along the bottom of the instrument panel should be another screw holding a small piece of cowling, remove then jiggle panel out to release MID plug, job done
