Ht leads...
« on: 10 February 2010, 12:33:00 »

Whilst i wait for my Ht leads to come from loo-knee...Will it damage the engine if i continue to use the car whilst its misfiring? Bearing in mind i have to do a 30 mile round trip to work and back each day as of tonight..Or should i just leave the car at home and wait for em to come and put em on my next day off? :-/ Help plz :-[

Unburnt fuel could damage the cat.

Think it depends how bad and consistant the missfire is, if your sure it the leads breaking down I suppose worst case it could take the Diss Pack out.

I was driving back from sunny Brum a few weeks back in bad weather, when my MV6 started to develop a missfire, it then started to get worse by the minuite, so in desperation and with another 100miles ahead of me I stopped and bought a can of WD40 and emptied the contents of the can over the leads and diss pack that were within reach. within another 20 miles the Car was running fine and has been ever since but I know its going to come back and haunt me soon.

Really think it has to be your choice on what you decide Bertie.
