If it's down to how much support you will get on here there is only one choice - the AC Stag 300. Must have at least half a dozen members who are currently running around on them, and all DIY installed too.

The problem with many other systems is that, even though all LPG setups are very similar, the software to get into the ECU is either not available, expensive or restricted to "approved" dealers, which locks you in to paying someone to support it.

xwai - was you system diy fitment or dealer fitted?
also - which model/type does yours have?

Kevin Wood - the AC Stag 300 - when I spoke to dealer who would fit system they said they would provide software to analyze and correct ecu problems ect.
have you used this with your system?

thanks

Yes - it's called AcGasSynchro IIRC. Not the greatest bit of software in the world (I guess they don't specialise in windows app development) but it gets the job done. You can download it from www.ac.com.pl to have a look but it doesn't do a great deal until it connects to an ECU.

Stag kit works very well on the Omega... Just got to sort the supply issues some have recently experienced, although I have spoken to Teilo now (see here)

Incidentally Kevin, Do you fancy doing a proper "How To" guide when I convert my new car, assuming I manage to get it?

Money no object Prinz is supposed to be the best.

Romano cannot supply gas fast enough for 200bhp, fine for standard 2.5 2.6, but not 3.0, 3.2, nor tuned 2.5, 2.6 at full throttle, This is partly due to quiet low maintenace injectors not liking high gas pressures

Guys !   Educate me please.

Whats the point ?  Say an LPG conversion costs 2k.
I appreaciate that gas is just about half the cost of unleaded BUT with an outlay of 2k initially you've got to do a huge amount of mileage AND keep the car for yonks for it to be worth while in the scheme of things.

2k is fast approaching the cost of the cars to begin with surely.

And surely by the time the cars have reached such high mileages, most of us, sell and buy something newer. I just don't get it ...sorry  !!!

Are there other incentives to go LPG that i don't know of ?

On a brand new, fresh out of the garage car I can understand....suspecting that purchasers are going to keep the cars for at least 10 years or so but on Migs that are at very least 6/7 years old, unless I stand corrected, I just don't see the point..

Well, your £2k drops to £700 if you DIY. In 7 or 8k miles (6 months driving for me) It's paid for itself and the rest is saving. about 14 pence per mile versus about 22 pence per mile on petrol. :y
