I had exactly same fault and cleaned selected and it was perfect again!hope your stays well!!

All done and dusted mate,and funny enough its working perfect,and dident even need re-aligning,which was a bonus,and while it was on the jack,i thought i would fix the blowing zorst ,but noticed another job that needs doing though,which is the rocker gasket on the drivers side,so that will be sorted monday,weather permitting.My neck is bloody killing me now.

They'll be coming off again when the manual goes in

One thing i noticed was strange today is after i done the selector and started it up,the engine ran very lumpy,and eml started flashing for a few seconds,but after that car is great now,so dont know if there was a bit of damp in it or summat,because it hadent been started for a couple of days,also no t/c light neither now i have fixed selector. :-/
