May as well get this question out of the way early, when I put my head back on how do I go about bleeding the fuel system.

Is it a simple case of turning it over with one of the feed pipes loose?

it should self bleed when you reassemble anbd turn the key but to help it you can crack the injector pipes and put ignition on, to allow pump in tank to fill the pipes make sure the filter is full though!!

My way of doing it:

Ensure that the fuel filter is full.
Turn on ignition, and wait until you hear the in-tank pump stop running.
Slacken injector pipes, and crank-over the engine.
When you see fuel squirting at the injector pipes, stop cranking.
Tighten injector pipes.
Now turn key again, let the glow plugs have another go, and you should be in business.
