take the bolts off that hold the wipers on, put the bonnet down, pull the wipe up on its hinge, it should just pop off, but needs a good bit of wiggling if its not been off in a while

As said .. but remember to keep the lower portion "flat" - 90 degrees to the spindle - it is simply a tapered spline fitting and if you twist it you make it tighter !!

Remove the caps to the bolts first with small flat blade screwdriver...it helps  :-)....and don't lose them !
Also I found a good squirt of WD40 doesn't go amiss either. As stated before, tapered spline holds the wiper arms so gentle wiggling about should result in them coming away easily. I found it easier with the bonnet up.

Mine were a right couple of barstewards to get off...no amount of wiggling would get them to move..
I was fuming. !!!

In the end..fairly simply. I used a couple of small pieces of wood, placed either side and leavered the wipes off of the spindle used a screw driver.....Ping !

They came straight off....at blinkin' last !

I've used a small adjustable spanner in the past at taper end of the arm. It gives you a little more leverage.  :y

Having done this on two cars, one was impossible without the puller (I bought the heavy duty sealey one), the other (newer) came off with wriggling.

The wiggle trick is to press down on the hinge, at the same time as wriggling the end with your other hand.  As said you need to keep the wiper at 90 degrees to the spindle.

I used a small 13mm (I think) spanner as a lever - like a ball-joint splitter. You have to be very careful not to damage the scuttle. A few taps with a mallet probably helped too.
