prefacelift rear springs

just been on the phone to a parts store and they told me that the springs are sided as in they are not the same for both sides is this true ?

none of the ones I have fitted have been sided.

guess someone may make sided ones  :-/

Lesjesfors(sp) arent...

you are surely buying a pair anyway, so shouldnt matter?


the top tang should point to the rear of the car regardless...
the only difference could be the spring wound clockwise / anticlockwise, for each side, but unneccessary imho.

as GM, and some of the other main manufacturers dont do handed ones....I am not sure I would pick a manufacturer that did.  :-/

sorry no link was getting them for £19.95 each and after spending around £400 on the car already cant really afford the £40 a spring at the moment :'(

A THOUGHT.... and I don't know the answer ...

The Carlton was known as the OMEGA A on the continent .... as these are from Germany is that the problem ??? Omega A springs not Omega B ???

Were Carlton springs handed ???

i replaced a spring on mine and it wasn't sided at least i hope not! but we had fun fitting it

carlton springs arnt handed. some late carlton parts fit omegas.
