Should be able to buy a blanking plate from vx for a couple of quid mate,just blank it and leaveit plugged in,if thats the way it works with deisals.

No real point on blocking egr on diesels, as the egr plays a fair part in improving economy when cruising

nearly half a litre per 100 km and a slightly better performance..but bigger benefit is that it doesnt get dirty and become a headache..

ps : shape of metal gasket must match otherwise you can fracture the egr as I did and there must be no leak (I use one metal and a composite to prevent air leak)..
