2.5td thermostat
« on: 05 March 2010, 22:36:12 »

Just wondering can anyone confirm that my thermostat is behind the plastic housing that the lower radiator pipe fits onto?

its more the two metal pipes that run right in front of the thermostat housing. nothing is easy on this engine even the oil filter is a pain  ;D

Cant remember if that egr pipe has to come off. If so, only 2 bolts each end, and a small clip in middle.

I've done mine with the fan and the EGR pipe in place, but definately less of a fiddle if they are removed.  :y

Done mine with it all in place, found that its handy to have a 1/4 inch socket set with short extention for the 10mm headed bolts.

Took me about 45 mins in total.
