my v6 is acting very odd once warmed up it struggles to accelerate and jerks a lot have change egr valve, plugs, leads people have suggested dis pack how ever when unplugging the air flow meter the jurkyness seems to go away but still low power is it still the dis pack or something else.

no codes at all on paper clip test and full diagnostic test

Have you visually checked dispack as suggested in previous thread

not as yet due to being a pain but will try tomorrow i didn't know if unplugging the air flow meter might mean something else might be wrong instead

Sounds to me just like the DIS pack, I know they are a pain to do but they are responsible for this type of problem, you wont see the full state of the DIS pack until you remove it they are not the worst job to do on the omega, best of luck.

What about lamda/oxygen sensors? When it failed on my Senator, the car was fine cold (when they run off the coolant temp sensor), but a pain when warm - imgaine an elastic band for a throttle cable. New lamda fitted, it was like a different car.

Wooooh, waaaah test (blame Ian Marsh for the name).

Basically, once it's warm, hold the throttle steady at about 2500rpm, does the engine make a woooh - waaaah alternating sound?  If so, theory is your lambda isn't cycling the voltage properly and is goosed.

Works on Sennies and Carltons, don't see why it wouldn't on a Mig.

Don't think its the lambda sensors as no codes but wish it was as it's alot cheaper.

How can I tell by looking at it if the dispack is faulty?

You will easily tell as they crack and/or  'fur' up at a certain point on the base, well worth the hour long job.

that was fun no sound of ware or tear on dis so where is the next place to look

What year is your car? How many miles? General state?
The Dis pack is a culprit 4 this type of prob maybe change?

Courtesy of MarksDTM "A crude method for testing your DIS pack is to unplug the knock sensor and run the engine, the retarded timing will result in a higher voltage being required to ignite the fuel and hence a weak DIS pack will often miss fire. Note though, this can be terminal to a failing DIS pack!"
