« on: 11 March 2010, 19:35:49 »

have developed a bit of a nasty problem which i hope someboby can help me with. After starting my 2.0ltr gls and running on a short journey there are no problems but if i stop and restart then try driving it cuts out on slowing down as if it has run out of fuel . itwill then restart no problem but cuts out again this carrys on for a while but evetually stops and runs fine so before i start to spend money on bits i may not need any ideas???

If it were petrol starvation, wouldn't it happen when you were accelerating hard, not slowing down?

I'd suggest you have a read through this:

Common problem on the 2.0.

No harm in changing the fuel filter too though, if you have no record of when it was last done.
