How many miles has your engine done?

I'm reasonably sure that the amount of mayo generated will go up in proportion to engine wear (increased amount of blow-by gases) which will vary with mileage, quality of servicing and number of cold-starts.

The condensed moisture mostly comes from gaseous combustion products escaping downwards past piston rings, not some mysterious external source, IMHO. Yep, engines make water  ;).

It forms in the filler neck as its a dead end so its a vapor trap. The v6 engine goes in vectra and that has no filler neck. Ive taken mine off.

I've got it on my 2.6 too and used to get it on my old 2.5 too. No problems. Just keep the oil and breathers clear and you'll be fine.
