Convert auto to manual

hi having auto trouble with my 2000 2.5td got a second hand box and still wont go so just wondering how big a job it is to convert to manual if i have complete donar car? as i will be paying for labour i presume its pretty time consuming job,its ider that or look for good ar 35 box but auto problems giving me headache at the moment!!

Look in maintainence guide mate,assuming its same for diesel. :y

not really hard job if you have all bits. can do in one day if srat in morning, I in progress of swap my auto box to manual , hope will finish tonight

great doesnt sound to bad i guess sorting clutch and brake pedal and cables is probably the biggest job,im in tipperary ireland so will have to get a scraped on here,is it best to look for a diesel or have the 2.0,2.2 petrol the same manual setup?

im pretty sure youll need a TD g/box due to the bellhousing, youll also need a spigot bearing for the end of the crankshaft. :y

ok thanks safest to go for td anyway,one last thing i forgot to ask will there be any issue with electrics or is it just a case of removing auto trans ecu? thanks for all the help :)
