How easy is it to get to the sender unit on the fuel tank ?

easy but dont do on a full tank, in back under the carpet should see a metal plate, take that off and then there is the tank top wit cover take off and unplug the wires, best to do out side. not in closed garage. :y

When you say back do you mean the boot or under the back seat ?

there is a how to (courtesy of platty) covering a td , but the info you need is there i,m sure  :y
