Omega facelift bonnet struts
« on: 14 March 2010, 17:44:27 »

Hi folks..

My bonnet won't stay open when it's rained!!! (The weight of the rain is obviously too much for the struts).

Can these struts be adjusted? or will I need to buy new ones?  If i need new, where's cheapest??

Thanks a lot!

New ones are best, try one of the breakers here, should be cheap enough to post them to Espania. I've just sold my last set unfortunately :(

If your car is a facelift, make sure your replacements come from a facelift. The two types are different, presumably as the facelift bonnet has the grille attached they are heavier.
From Vauxhall they're £60odd or £90odd each  :o

As Andy said just look for facelift ones, they are OK on both pre and facelifts.

I changed both mine and paid about 120 quid. You don't change em everyday so should be a one off. :)
