transmission fluid change???

how do you get the fluid in/out of the automatic box??

there is a level plug on the side of the box.


Emptying obviously not easy, either use a pump, or drop the sumps.

Filling, fill till fluid spills, with the engine warm, running, and level (after just going through all gears when stationary)

deep brown/black the oil is coming out, could this be the problem??

Yup, should be red(ish) in colour, replace the filter, and put some fresh ATF in there (Dextron III)

filter is attached to bottom of the box, replacement filter & gasket is around £35 from a supplier called jpat, i don't have his contact details but someone else will  :y

have the sump off wat does this filter look like, does it bolt on or is it just laughing at me??

It's no 5 in this picture...




If you want to change as much ATF as possible you need to drop the small sump as well
