Power steering

Hi All, Power steering sometimes goes heavy and feels like its slipping (juddering) when i go on full lock. Any ideas?? TIA Des :)

Check the power steering fluid, if it's high enough you either have a leak or your pump is on it's way out.

Its high enough and no leaks! Are they easy to change?

did mine as mine went totally lazy, 3 1/2 hours and one from a friends breaker for free. Break one yourself so you know how it comes off.  I also did the tensioner and belt and the tensioner was squeaking and the belt was cracked in several places. 3 1/2 hours includes tensioner and belt, £50 off pound off ebay.

You could try a fluid change. very easy to do. sometimes if the fluid is very old, the vanes in the pump get very scummy and causes problems at low revs (like when parking)
Dextron II is recommended or higher
