Blowing Exhaust Flexi Joint 2.2 Z22XE
« on: 17 April 2010, 21:05:18 »

Flexi joint between cats is blowing badly

Has anyone successfully used a clamp on replacement flexi on a 2.2 as it seems very close to the cat?

Also can someone confirm diameter required is 51mm and length required.
TIA

Clamp on's are no good, get a weld on and get someone to weld it for you. You need 51mm x 100mm flexi

I disagree

After market cats are more trouble than they are worth, rarely last, are noisier and low quality.

Having done two of these repairs now, they are about an hours work, do not leak (if you know how to use a welder) and you retain an excellent quality cat setup  :y

Best way to improve your welding, buy a ford. Ask Tonygnome.  ;D ;D
