2.5td prop shaft rubbers
« on: 18 April 2010, 23:21:27 »

I've had a slight vibration on a light throttle load for ages. With the chip fitted it becomes a violent judder. No judder was fine when accelerating and decelerating, but now it can be felt when decelerating. It doesn't stop when the clutch is depressed.
Vibration stops as soon as car comes to a stand still.

It's definately not wheel bearing/balance/tyre/track-rod etc related.

There is a slight crack in the rear propshaft rubber and the upper half of the centre bearing rubber has a larger gap between the propshaft and the outer edge than on the lower.

Could this be the cause of the vibration ?
