you need to get the codes checked again   http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1189022687  although pedal test may not work on yours

I would try it with the maf unplugged, see if that makes any difference. The reving in neutral then not in drive is a sign of a broken one. :y

Agreed - try with maf sensor unplugged. If then ok can drive as goes to default settings.  New maf sensor then required.

Two most likely culprits, cam sensor or MAF. As mentioned unplug MAF, and see what happens, you do really need to get codes read, do you know if they used a genuine GM Cam Sensor?

In layman's terms it is a solid bit of plastic fitted in the flexible air intake pipe, a square section in the middle with an electrical plug, remove this and see what happens.  :y
I also had the same problem and it turned out to be the Crank sensor, having tried changing the MAF.
If you get stuck there is an auto electric place in Ferryhill (Just can't quite think of the name, but have used them a few times) that can identify all these type of problems and fix them at a reasonable rate.. :y
