Is it normal when you turn car on the tps will make a whinning noise then cpl of clicks,stop for 10 secs then same again?? i can perform an actuator test on the tps and it seems to be opening and closing ok

normal. :y
er re read, it doesnt go on indefinately, but the noises you describe are certainly normal.

imo buy original unused vx throttle position sensor..

i had a vectra v6 2.5 before the omega,and bought ported and polished tb's for it,i mite have the old tb's kicking around the garage,would the sensor be the same??

Ok the news today is that i phoned a cple of our suppliers today,one said that the tps sensor they can get is not matching up with my chassis number,the other is getting back to me,i can get a 3 pin one but mine is 6,also phoned up vx dealer and they said the tps doesnt come separate and need tb's,costing me over 300 squid,anyone any ideas about this,the car is parked at work,as it wouldnt pull ye outta bed.... cheers

visiting breakers and asking to test a known working one.. :-/

Tried a cple of places,cant really locate a decent one for humble money,gonna order a new tb tomorrow from vx dealer,at least i get warranty and nice shiny new one,only problem is it has to come from germany and may be 3-14 days,trade price is a bonus...keep you posted...thanks again for your time everyone  :y

just tried the new tb's today.still not starting,no faults,doesnt seem to be getting fuel,which 1 is fuel pump relay?? can it be checked or bypassed
