Thinking back I may have had the Sport 01 (or did they do a Sport 03 back then?) not the Maxx.

Of course the tyres on the Omega are lower profile than the Astra.... might make for higher noise levels?

if noise is a primary concern,

either you have to sacrifice some grip or go for expensive models :-/

Tried P-Zero's on mine - never again; I could never get them balanced for some reason.  'used Michelin Primacy ever since with no problems and 26k miles wear each time, but costly.  'perhaps try Conti's as compromise?   ;)
