gearbox upgrades

what are the advantages of the gearbox upgrade on a gs820 better fuel economy? performance? what do you gain :-/

Had mine done and is much much smoother and doesn't change down so often so in the end I guess better fuel consumption.hope that helps!

is there a way of telling what version is currently on by car and where do i find the ecu

only way is to plug tech2 in.

ecu in drivers footwell I beleive.

ECU Bottom of steering colum there is a small slot put your fingers in and press the button and the panel will drop down, The ecu is in there.

Diag socket is in there.
Gearbox ECU as our gaseous friend rightly says is behind the kick panel in the drivers footwell.

intresting reading I get kind of peed of when it drops 2 gears whilst on cruise and revs it's head off
Is there anyone up here in scotland that can re-map the g/b to v9

Wish there was a capability to send just the ECU to be updated as i have a spare one.
