Spare Pipe after Rocker Gaskets ??
« on: 28 April 2010, 17:55:57 »

Hi Again Young Uns,
Almost all back together after rocker gaskets/beathers etc.
I have a problem with a spare pipe around the rear of the engine, I can't see where it comes from & have an open end.
It's about 8mm OD & hardish nylon (like the servo pipes).
It wants to sit around the area of the 4 rubber pipes into the breather manifold.
For anyone with a Haynes manual it looks like the pipe in illustration 16.21 Chapter 4A.22 at the back end of the right arrow.
Any help would be appreciated as I'm not to good at guessing!!!
Cheers AG. :-[

Wow, Multiple hats off to you guys, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.
Yep - stinks of ATF, 1 ty-rap & I'm not scared of starting it now!
You guys really know your stuff... but be warned I've had this car since '99 & I love it & can't find anything near it for reasonable dosh, so as we both get older & require more TLC I shall become a regular ignorant nuisance!! ;D
Thanks Again, AG.

Hi Andy B,
Just Working Working Working :( :( :(.
I now have time on my hands & enjoy getting mucky (perhaps thats too much info).
Never had a single problem with the car until this leak manifested itself ages ago but as it has been "done" twice at a local garage I thought I'd have a look & do it myself.
The car is just coming up to 90K but has had yearly full services & has always had what's needed but I've only done 2.5K in the last 30mths & now she needs "a going over" for all the bits I've neglected.
Superb car, best all round vehicle I've ever had & trust me, I've had some....
Cheers Again ;D Your support is appreciated.
