Changing Xenon bulbs?
« on: 01 May 2010, 16:54:17 »

Hi, I was a bit dissapointed with the output from my xenon lights when I got my car, so thinking that the bulbs are probably original (7 years old) I managed to source Philips D2S bulbs at a fantastic price. Only problem is, How do you change them? Is there a guide on how to do it?

Thanks. Raymond

Cheers Crazydad, I had already seen that but I was wondering how many screws had to be undone etc, and the order of removal. I think I will take out the airbox and move the battery to see things easier, maybe it will become apparent when you can see it all.

iirc....but its been some time.....

Disconnect battery and give it 5 mins...
remove battery / airbox out the way.
3 torx screws per light
remove connector
then a funny clip to remove the bulb

take care not to touch the connections in the connector, should be fine, but VERY high voltages involved, dont touch the glass of the bulb either, clean with meths if you do.

reverse to refit  :y
