switch on ignition and while switched on press the lock button on the remote,if you hear the doors lock then it is re-synched

There has never been a light on my key fob. Would it be the plastic between the lock and unlock buttons

it was a solenoid problem, so did a replacement and re set up the key fob. but remember to check the fuse as the first port of call

Iassume that there is one fuse for the central locking system not one on each door

Hi really interested in this problem, much the same as I have had for the last few weeks.
I,ve had no joy whatsoever at solving it,so where is this solenoid, and any other ideas that would be helpful would be great.
Someone else on a different thread mentioned that he presses the keyfob a light blinks on the dash, which one is that?.
Alfie.

I have a similar problem, battery has gone flat but key will not open any door probably due to deadlocks being engaged. Any ideas on how I can get into car?

Yeah! Sorted. I opened the boot (Thank goodness you still can while the other doors are deadlocked) and connected a spare battery to the boot light +wire. Enough electrics to open car with remote, thought I would put this up in case others have a similar problem.
