Apologies if this has been answered before but i wasn't able to find it in previous questions. I have a 2003 2.6 CDX estate which has no problem any other time except on starting the engine the alarm goes off. I live a fair way from a vauxhall dealer so was wondering if this is a common fault which could be remedied by a local mechanic or myself if not too difficult. Fingers crossed and thankyou in advance

Try unplugging the power sounder,there is a guide in the matanice section.

yes powersounder nicads on their way out. best to remove it after unplugging. very easy job to do yourself.

try not to force the scuttle, it's only plastic & a few have been broken when people try to force their arm in to unplug the power sounder

I had those symptoms when one cell in the main battery failed.

Fitted a new battery and that solved the problem.

I wondered what implications, if any, this will have on my car??

(rain) water trickles down this skuttle and into a whole but since ive cracked it it just disappears into thecrack down the bottom . . . .is my car goint to blowup on me???
