Alarm problem when starting engine
« on: 10 May 2010, 22:01:03 »

Apologies if this has been answered before but i wasn't able to find it in previous questions. I have a 2003 2.6 CDX estate which has no problem any other time except on starting the engine the alarm goes off. I live a fair way from a vauxhall dealer so was wondering if this is a common fault which could be remedied by a local mechanic or myself if not too difficult. Fingers crossed and thankyou in advance

try not to force the scuttle, it's only plastic & a few have been broken when people try to force their arm in to unplug the power sounder  :y

I had those symptoms when one cell in the main battery failed.

Fitted a new battery and that solved the problem.
