2.5V6 LPG to 3.0V6
« on: 18 May 2010, 11:54:30 »

Just a quickie, someone is selling a 2.5 V6 LPG kit, do these go straight on to the 3.0 with them being both V6's? and.. does anyone on here fit the LPG kit and how much?  ;)

It will fit but will need calibration.

You also need to bear in mind that you're still going to need to buy pipework etc...

TBH, if it were me the kit would have to be under £100 to even consider fitting a 2nd hand one

Agreed. Also, bear in mind that the LPG jets might need drilling larger for a 3.0 and that other parts of the kit (e.g. vapouriser) might not be able to deliver enough gas for a 3.0.

In any case, don't touch it unless you have the software, lead, dongle, etc. that you will need to map it because it will need some adjustment.

Just to add another thought to this... I would be unlikely to re-use the kit I fitted to my 3.0 if I replaced the car TBH... By the time you've bought all the extra bits you're about half way to a new kit, with a 2 year warranty :y
