Please help ,what is this that fell off my car?

Hello
any chance anyone can identify what this is that fell off the underside of my car I darn't drive it at the minute any advice would be appreciated!

Heat shield between the under side of the car & the catalitic converter  :y

Is it safe to drive? please be fairly certain as i'm 7 months pregnant and have two small kids in the car really dont wanna blow up lol

That shield is for a reason as the cats get very hot and are required to stop the heat setting the underside of the car alight! ::) ::)

Personally I would get that seen to a.s.a.p. ;)

exhaust and cats do get very hot, even after just a minute or two running. Need to get someone to spot weld those back on  :y

Or stops the grass catching alight when the cat is hot.

It'll be fine.  Probably one (or two) less rattles too.

Just don't park on dry grass this summer!   :)

It's the heat shield to protect the heat from burning anything on the floor, it isn't the shield between the cat and car.

It will be perfectly safe to drive.  Most aftermarket cats dont even have these shields on them.  I used to buy scrap cats, so I've seen thousands of them.

Thank you all soooo much i think i might dare drive it tomorrow (dont fancy walkin to school/playshool/swimming lesson/gymnastics) I am in leicester by the way
