Looks like estate shocks. Rear blind probs. Push the switch and get someone to "help" the blind up. Glovebox handle, guide in maintenance

i can take more pics, what makes you say estate shocks?

wouldnt it be the springs that control the height if the self leveling doesnt work/disconnected?

those shocks don't look like height adjustable to me.. they probably are estate shocks and without height adjust. try to see if they have a hose inserted into them.

The self leveling suspension uses a level sensor on the offside rear suspension arm.

First thing to do is read the maintenance giude How to Test Raise / Lower self levelling suspension

I suspect some cross-terminology.

Shocks/Springs - same things

Dampers - what you may be referring to as 'shocks'.

i.d.'ing gm sprins is difficult, they are colour coded rather than going by part number. Those shocks are wrong.
So given the above you need to decide what direction you want to go with your suspension. If you want to keep self leveling fit self level ahocks from vx at 150 a pair on trade club and then see what the ride hight does. If still too high fit self levelling springs but from kyb via buy parts buy, part number is shown on the spring pictured in the guide for 80 odd a pair.

If you want better handelling and slightly lower ride hight fit mv6 lowered sports chassis shocks and springs. Trade card is a must for vx springs.

Worth checking the pump still works, check the fuse is present and play with the arm on the sensor and see if it pumps air out if the pipes. If its not working i guess thats decission made, but beware mv6 suspension wont take the load self levelling will. hth.

I have the opposite to this my back end is low the top of the tyre is about level with the wheel arch is this a spring or a damper problem I am thinking about fitting air shocks but will this lift the back end if it is a spring problem.

first thing to check is for broken springs, and see whats fitted, cheapo parts may be a give away.

Difficult to say if its a shock or spring issue as the shocks i've seen also support the ride hight.

Unless the shocks are hight ajustable   its the springs that set the ride hight so i would say that the wrong springs have been fitted.

IIRC estate shocks are the shorter ones? So, OP has wrong springs installed... and the springs that long are not for any model of Omega...

Jay69 Looks a bit like mine what is the height floor to wheel arch and what size wheels. Looking around there seems to be a lot of variation in rear ride height on Omegas. Can anybody else give me a height floor to wheel arch and is there a spec.  for this.
