Hi all,
Can anyone tell me what metal the sump is made of on a 2.5 td bmw lump 2000 model earlier engine. Got a stripped sump plug thread. :'( :'( :'(

can get a core plug for them just need the size of the hole, or give a good clean and use some metal fix if not to bad.

Core plug, do you mean a helicoil.
