More vacuum problems
« on: 12 June 2010, 17:14:13 »

Front actuator moves at about 4000rpm. Back one does not move at all. Ventilation airflow goes after 15 / 20 seconds of engine under load...i.e when going uphill. Can not find any leak.  Any ideas?

Is the engine off position for these both closed? Is the one at the back then supposed to move / open on start up?
As the front one moves, is it likely to be the actuator that has failed or the vac box by the pollen filter?

Do you get the rear one working when you 'give it death'

Is it plumbed up correctly, check the maintenance guides for a schematic

yup, having given it a sharper opening than ever before the rear on does move.
You have posted before about using a fish tank one way valve. Which pipe and which direction did you fit it?

Don't know if I have moved a loose conection at the back, but the car felt better tonight. Power delivery much smoother. Still the ventilation stops when under load and set to face vents.
