how to clear digital display warnings

hi all i had a message saying brake pad on the computer display i have had new pads fitted today (got pads from vauxhall) my friend said there was a sensor on the n/s but not on o/s  is that normal? how do i clear computer as when i start car it keeps saying brake pad when they have been done any ideas thanks :y

Sensors on both sides. Easy way, whichever side is missing the sensor, join the two wires together to complete the circuit and the message will clear from the display

hi on all models up to preface ie 1999 there are 2brake wear sensors one each side if pads have worn down enough to put brake warning light on sensor wires have to be replaced to take warning off sensors normally about £20 a pair :y

So, has your friend fitted new sensors? If he's fitted them correctly the message should disappear. Maybe one isn't plugged in properly .....  :-/

safe to say, its a wear sensor problem, if only one fitted it will still show a fault. Fit new sensors, or loop out to complete the circuit as said.
