Condenser O-rings
« on: 21 June 2010, 12:06:01 »

Anyone know the dimensions of the condenser O-rings and a source of supply. Over £3 each + vat at VX :o :o
If they look OK is it imperative that they`re changed :question

Just to give you an idea as I had this the other day.
When I started to do the work on Obi the air con was fully working and holding its pressure.
I replaced the Condensor as I caught it slightly removing the engine, didn't break it but didn't like it so bought a new one. I fitted the old O rings (below the battery where the one long torx headed bolt holds the two pipes in that block) then had a guy come and regass.... It was leaking from the two old O rings which had not been used for 2 weeks :-? and so I replaced them with the O rings he carried.
I would replace them as part of the job mate being honest seems better to pay £10 for the O rings than paying the Air Con Guy twice if you follow me :y

That answers the question for me as well :y  Forgive my thickness but how many are required - I haven't even looked at the job yet?

I assume they're all the same size.

The two Zulu I am talking about just below the battery that are held together by that alloy block are the same size.
As for anymore elsewhere I am unsure being honest :)

Go to your local aircon place and get them there, they will only cost pence.
