how to take the clips off, looked on form but could not find it, thanks for your help.

i use a couple of small screwdrivers to release the clips and edge it off

you need either the correct pliers or three hands. One hand each with a screw driver to hold the tabs in, and third hand to pull the pipe/filter apart....and then watch as the petrol poors directly in your eyes. ::)

tryed with screwdrivers and the clips dont budge one seams to be bent the plastic bit, tryed wd and get muck out but wont budge it, have you any pics so can see it, thanks,

I messed around with screwdrivers for ages, some would come apart easily some would be a right pain so I spent a few quid on the pliers and its now a 2 minute job. Well worth the money ;)

If you break them they are only 77 pence from Vauxhall Dealer. I am changing my filter at the weekend and bought two new clips with the filter incase I break them. ::) :y

did think of that but they are moulded plastic and one is an L shape, both moulded or do you mean the clip part??

I was refering to the plastic clips that hold the fuel pipe on to the fuel filter. :y
I really meant that if you accidentally break one they are cheap enough to replace.

just found this PDF opel tool, on page 6, http://www.klann-online.de/Englisch/Produkte/Kapitel_6.2_low.pdf says its a clamp just bit of metal bent, so may just make one has the size etc, as only going to use once or so. here it is so some one else can make one to.

I don't think the clamp will work because it will be trying to push the clips in from the side. :(
I think you want the set of pliers in the picture above it which push the release ring into the fitting to push the clips out :y

did it go old tea straner fixed it to look like one in PDF, came off no problems, just bit worried about the blue O-rings inside the push on(pipe), not put new one on yet is there away of replacing the O-rings or shall I just seal them with blue seal???? thanks
