are facelift and preface lift saloon towbars differant? i have just drilled the holes ant the rear doesnt seem to line up? any ideas?

as far as the holes in the boot floor are concerned there's no difference. The only time you may get a problem is when you get a bar that was specifically intended for a prefacelift car when fitted to a facelift car due to later caars having deeper bumpers, which results in the ball being close to the facelift bumper.
