hey, i have have fault code 0430 showing up and found out its the o2 sensors, are these easy to change or best left to a garage, i have a 2001 3.2 v6 est

i tried halfords but no haynes manual for it

Its not actually the O2 sensor at fault....its just reporting it.

The fix is to either replace the precat, or move the o2 sensor to the other side of the cat, see the maint guide section.

most 2.6 and 3.2's suffer this as they get older.

ok, whats a pre cat? are they cheap, i drive all around europe so have no qualms about buying new bits as long as it works

really would not worry too much,with the age of these cars now most 3.2 and 2.6 have that code. Just move the 2nd o2 sensor behind the main cat when you bump into a friendly welder, as the guide.  :y

Buy a code resetter and turn the light off. Mine only comes on twice a year ... 3 days after getting to France... 3 days after getting back home ...

I'm convinced it has something to do with the different ratio's of propane/butane in UK/French LPG. On changing, the system sees a "difference" which it flags as a fault.

Probably wrong, but its my experience and my theory !!!

Yes I'm with Entwood on this one - cheap code reader to reset once or twice a year.
